Ordinarily I won’t go near the topic of some type of promotion/relegation system in MLS.  To be honest, I don’t think it’s needed.  What will it really bring?  For some reason there’s a romanticized notion that MLS will be better if the bottom club(s) were to drop to a lower level and the top teams from that level would replace them.  Yeah, it’ll give those teams towards the bottom something extra to fight for but…well; RBNY would probably be already making plans for the lower level next season.

If there was ever proof needed that of any sport, soccer is the one in which a single player can’t make a huge difference.  For 90 minutes (ok, 70 and the post game) we heard Bratos and co talk about David Beckham, his impact, his career and Grant Wahl’s book.

I remember this place.  Seems like the season was just starting when I last posted…oh yeah, it was.  Things have been crazy and will probably continue that way for a while.  However, I will try and post on here when I can.

It’s been an interesting week on the MLS Coaching front.  Of course, LA now have a Dutch coach….a coach who I idolized as a player.  The guy was awesome.  My hope is that he can introduce Total Football to the HDC.

I’ve got a little time today so I thought I’d quickly mention some things which has caught my eye lately.
Where the heck is Collinsville? Continuing the trend of putting stadiums well outside the cities the teams are named after, St Louis looks like they are well on the road to getting a stadium for a possible MLS team.
Speaking of stadiums, will RSL ever get theirs?
