If you haven’t been following the tug-of-war between Milan and LA for the Spiced One, then you probably won’t be reading this. If you have been following it, like me, you are probably sick of the whole thing. Ok, that’s an assumption but I’m pretty confident it’s accurate.

Probably the most important thing about creating and maintaining a blog is to keep it current with fresh information. After all, why go through the hassle of putting something together if you aren’t going to do anything with yet. I actually heard Garber say that the International Calendar issue needs to be addressed. It’s about time. Too bad he then followed that with a bunch of reasons why they can’t do it. At least now the no longer have the excuse that MLS teams aren’t the primary tenants in their stadiums. He’s made a lot happen, I’m disappointed he can’t get this to happen.
Something else he needs to look at is the exodus we are starting to see again of the top players during the off-season. A few years …

I always love a US/Mexico game. Bottom line, nobody wants to lose this one. It’s too bad there was a lot more passion in the match than actually ability as a team…for both sides. I sat there for most of the match thinking, who is this US side? Mexico is finally learning how to play against us. Landon and Dempsey were both non-factors. Well, it seems a few things have happened in the last few days. Guess I should catch up a bit.
The big news, for LA fans, is that Fish will be returning. LA fans are split by this move. They either love or hate it. I’m in the camp that believes no one is going to want to face the three-headed monster of Becks, Donovan and Fish. I think Landon has actually earned some more respect from me.
“I don’t want to be gone all summer,” said Donovan, who was called up on Thursday for games against Ecuador and Guatemala later this month. “I want to be here when Beckham gets here. I want to be here for a lot of the games. This is a big year for us, for the Galaxy.”

The PA played that tune by the 80’s Bay Area Wimp Rockers at Half-time of the match Saturday night in San Jose, but it could have been more for the visitors than the home side. The Journey tune seemed to spur on the Galaxy more than the Quakes. Ya gotta love it.
