I’ve been saying for over four years now that LA Galaxy should have bring Mauricio Cienfuegos should have been brought into the organization after he retired as a player and groomed to become the Head Coach in LA.  Well, someone agree’s with me that he’ll do a good job as boss.
Nah, they waited for Cobi to retire before they brought a former player into the coaching staff.

I guess Tom Payne thinks LA could to better by just quitting MLS and playing friendlies.
” We could cancel playing in our league and go on a barnstoming tour around the world.
“Beckham’s presence is that great.”
OK, it’s sorta tongue-in-cheek but what would happen to the HDC?  It would be said having the stadium half-full every other week.

What a rough start for the new boss in LA! However, something tells me that defense wasn’t on the minds of anyone.
UPDATE: Here’s Beckham’s goal.  Well, he had to score right?

It’s been an interesting week on the MLS Coaching front.  Of course, LA now have a Dutch coach….a coach who I idolized as a player.  The guy was awesome.  My hope is that he can introduce Total Football to the HDC.
I was fortunate enough to group up in the Total Football heyday.  While I lived on the other side of the North Sea, Bobby Robson had brought a taste of Total Football to Suffolk in the late 80’s when he signed Arnold Murhen and Franz Thijssen.  The think of love …

According to Bloomberg, it’s official.
I was always a big fan of his when he played.  I thought he was screwed as a manger at Chelsea and at Newcastle…well, many have tried and all have failed there.

If it’s true, that was pretty fast.  Reports out of London say Ruud Gullit is going to be the new chief at the HDC.  If it’s true, I think I like it.  I was always a huge fan of his when he played.  Too bad he hasn’t had a ton of success as a manager….but I think he could do well in LA.

It’s been a day now since I heard about Yallop’s departure from the HDC. I still think it’s a mistake to let him go. Now, I’m afraid the AEG brain trust will make an even bigger mistake. Seriously, Queiroz did an awful job with the Metros. Why would he do any better in LA? Am I missing something here? Personally, I’m on a one-man crusade to see Cienfuego at the helm. I’m not even sure “Cien” would be interested, but who else is there that is …

Enough already! I’m sorry, but if I read or hear one more person complain about the MLS Playoff format…well, I don’t know what I’m going to do but I’m tired of it already.
This is Year 12, and for twelve years people have complained about the format and that we have playoffs at all. Get over it people.
If the owners wanted the top teams to win through to the finals, they would probably just do away with the first round….actually not a bad idea, but it won’t happen. Besides, everyone …

I’ve posted before about how cursed the shirt is.
However, after the season Gavin Glinton has had wearing it, has the curse been lifted?
