Games Without Frontiers

Enough with the negative stuff I’ve been posting lately.  I not sure why but I was reminded the other day about this show I watched as a kid in England called, “It’s a Knockout”…it’s the Euro counterpart (later rounds) “Jeux Sans Frontieres”.  And if you thought it had anything to do with Peter Gabriel, well, the TV show was the inspiration behind the song.

 Ah yes, the last day of the season.  Two teams still in with a chance of the title.  Make that, two cross-town rival teams in with a chance of the title.  It all comes down to the results on the final day to decide who are the champions.

No idea why I was thinking about this but I just felt like looking them up…and then sharing them.

Ya know, I saw a link to this one on YouTube and remembered…well, until I saw it again. This ad must have come out in the early 80’s, thing is, back then I was just a kid and didn’t realize the racist (or at least stereotyping) in this one.

Ok, you couldn’t put these on the air today but you hafta admit, these ads are classic.

Norwich players laid low after barbecue

Four Norwich City players were among 30 people taken ill following a barbecue at the club’s training ground, it emerged today.
