Many wonder what’s going on in my head…most wonder if anything is going on, here’s a place to find out.
Is it just me or did the World Cup seem to last a lot longer when I was a kid? Argentina, Spain, and Mexico those World Cups all seemed to last half the summer. The entire summer seemed to revolve around them. This year it just blew by.
Reflecting on yesterday’s USA-Ghana, match I’ve come to the conclusion that perhaps we really shouldn’t be surprised the World Cup is over for the Stars & Stripes. While the team did not do poorly, well, not by 2006 or 1998 standards, they weren’t exactly setting the competition on fire either.
There have been plenty of stories so far but I wanted to quickly breakdown the winners and losers among the teams who have gone home already and the different confederations.
