Lost with a Lisp

Lots of questions answers…some we kinda figured out already.  The following is just some random thoughts I’ve had about this week’s show.  Just thrown out as they come to me in no particular order.

  • Forget /Hurley banter.  Miles/Hurley banter is second only to Locke/Ben banter.
  • $1.6 Million, $3.2 Million?  Now we know a bit more about how Miles came up with the $3.2 Million number when he first spoke with Ben.  I’ve a hunch that Miles talks with Bram some more before heading out on the Freight to find the island.
  • Bram, the guy in the van, is on the Hydra Island with a gun now.
  • Remember seeing a video a season or two ago of Widmore and his gang beating up some guy.  Could that be the guy who Miles spoke to in the restaurant?
  • Yeah, yeah, yeah.  Everyone and their brother called Miles being the baby in the first episode of this season.
  • So, whatever it was that caused people to push the button every 108 minutes in the Swan, also can loosen a tooth and shoot it through your brain?
  • Why would they be taking the body to the Orchid?  Healing powers?
  • Maybe I missed something but, did Kate open a pop-top beer can?  I know I was still in single digits age wise but, I’m sure they still used pull-tabs in 1977.  Must be some Dharma time travel ability…either that or Dharma and their Namasteisim were “Green” before it was cool and they were using some prototype pop-top.
  • I still think the “Shadow of the Statue” question is a lot like the “Snowman” question Desmond asked Locke when they first met in the Swan.  Are they those asking the question Dharma recruits?
  • Actually, I’m not convinced of that.  I think there’s another group–perhaps a Dharma splint, involved.  Too many have been on the island and know what It’s capable of.
  • A thought came to me while watching last night.  That blond with the gun when they were back in the 50’s, she had a decent sized role for just one episode.  There has to be more.  I looked it up and her character’s name was “Ellie”.  Could she be Eloise Hawking?  That would explain some things.
  • What’s with all the Star Wars references lately?  Heck, I even had to look up what a Hoth was.  Well, it’s been a while since I saw that movie.
  • More people with father issues.  Remind me to spend some time playing with my son tonight.
  • Hurley’s comment about changing his owe diapers is scary.  Think about. However, Miles does see himself as a baby which didn’t lead to him getting struck by lightning.  However, maybe that will lead to something bad.  Remember who Chang made a huge deal about the rabbit seeing himself.

  • So now, in the Swan Video (not going to embed that one too) Chang to claim “The incident” was due to how the computer was used.

Now do not attempt to use the computer…for anything else other than the entering of the code.  This is its only function.

The isolation that attends the duties associated with Station 3 may tempt you to try and utilize the computer for communication with the outside world. This is strictly forbidden. Attempting to use the computer in this manner will compromise the integrity of the project and worse, could lead to another incident. I repeat, do not use the computer for anything other than entering the code.

However, I’m now wondering if it has anything to do with Miles hanging out with Miles. It would all be Hurley’s fault. Bet he blames the numbers.

  • I also don’t believe that what Miles’ mother said about his father was entirely true.  I don’t the he sent them away cuz he was an ass-hole.  She said he was somewhere Miles would never fine.  So, my thinking is that something happened and he wanted Miles to go far away to protect him…which leads back to my previous comment.
  • Instead of Ben and Jack being the leader-type, Locke and seem to have taken those roles.  Is that what  happens with you leave the island when you aren’t supposed to?  Heck, even Kate has gone soft.  Look how poorly she handled the situation with Roger.
  • Speaking of leaving the island, I’d been wondering why Faraday hadn’t been around the last few weeks.  Looks like he got himself off the island.  I’m thinking he knows a heck of a lot more than he’s let on so far.  But, I’m guessing so is everyone else.
  • Anyone else notice that Jack was erasing a lesson on Egyptian stuff while he was talking to Roger at Dharma Middle School?  I wonder how Dharma High’s football team did this year?  Wonder what their school mascot is?
  • I haven’t had a good Fish Taco since leaving LA.  Thanks for reminding me Miles.

There’s more, but as usual I could keep writing until next wednesday so, I’ll leave it at this.

Until then, Namaste.
