I’ve no idea what I did but something on my blog is broke. I think it has something to do with the permalinks but there’s probably more. So, while I figure out how I screwed up, chances are you’ll run into the 404 error page a bit if your are looking around. Sorry, I’ll figure it out soon I hope.
If anyone can figure out why my category links are suddenly messed up, please let me know.

I first signed up for Twitter a while ago. I heard about it, signed up to check it out, and then went back to Facebook. However, a few months ago I started getting bored with Facebook. Yeah, it’s been great reconnecting with a huge number of former classmates and co-workers but when everyone keeps send app invites and I spend more time ‘ignoring’ them all than I do actually catching up with old friends, well I just felt like staying away.

Ok, maybe it’s still clearing its throat.
I’m a huge fan of open source tools. What I’ve found is that with most open source software it’s written by people who use it. The “get it done by committee”–very different from the corporate world which is more “get it done my way”–seems, in general, to offer a great deal more flexibility with their design. Seriously, Firefox and the Mozilla suite with all their addons would never have come out of the bug filled offices of Microsoft…though they now have addons available for …

I don’t get it. Why hasn’t anyone (that I’ve been able to find) created some kind of template to allow people to archive their music collection. Yeah, I know iTunes and tools like that are around. However, what about us old folk who haven’t bothered to rip their vinyl collection–not that we have a working turntable right now…but that’s another story.

It’s taken a couple of weeks but I think I’ve just about got this site ready to go. I’ve had to ‘fiddle’ with a number of settings and these wordpress plugins can be a pain but I’ve just about got what I’m looking for. It’s amusing though. Rule One on things like this, and most processes and developments in general, is to have things working, then make a minor change and see how that alters things (good, bad or other) and go from there.

I don’t recall exactly how it happened but some time in the early part of last week, my boss and I somehow ended up discussing email and keeping current with all of the email one receives.
