I was 10 years old when I got to see Ipswich play on TV for the first time. It was in the FA Cup Final. At that time, I figured the whole world stopped so everyone could watch the match and it was an even bigger deal cuz my team was actually playing this time.

I’ve been having a lot of fun–maybe too much–winding up my English friends ever since the World Cup draw in December. I don’t know that this is the right precedent to set, but what do I know? To be honest, I’ve only seen the highlights and hope to watch the entire match tonight. However, giving the fans a credit on their account (to be applied to their season ticket renewal I assume) isn’t going to help the team much….but it may be an incentive for ticket buyers to renew. Ok, it is an incentive for ticket buyers to renew.

I’ve always thought it would be cool to coach a national soccer team. Yeah, it would take a lot of work, and success to find yourself in that position. But to make some good money traveling around to games to see the countries top players. Always have a great seat made available to you….
