Ok, maybe it’s still clearing its throat.
I’m a huge fan of open source tools. What I’ve found is that with most open source software it’s written by people who use it. The “get it done by committee”–very different from the corporate world which is more “get it done my way”–seems, in general, to offer a great deal more flexibility with their design. I don’t get it. Why hasn’t anyone (that I’ve been able to find) created some kind of template to allow people to archive their music collection. Yeah, I know iTunes and tools like that are around. However, what about us old folk who haven’t bothered to rip their vinyl collection–not that we have a working turntable right now…but that’s another story.
